I'm being pursued by Eeyore!!!!!!

Ok, maybe not the cute little donkey, but someone who sure sounds like him!!

It's a guy I went to high school with, and met at a class reuniion a couple of years ago. He had a crush on me in school, and still does. He is really a sweet guy, but I don't feel the same way he does!! I'm not an "Eeyore" type of person. I see the happy side of life most of the time. Not to mention that there is absolutely NO attraction there in any way.

How can I let him down easy???? I don't want to hurt him, but I'm NOT going to date him!!!!!

Ok, so most of the folks I work with are male. That being said, I have to wonder....................................... what is it that makes men want to out-jackass each other???

I mean really!!!

Please understand that I have nothing against men in general. It's just that sometimes they seem to go beyond normal description to "out jackass" each other. Last night was one of those times!

Example: One of the guys decided I wasn't going to play by his rules, so he used his "high" beam lights all night. Tons of fun, especially on graveyard shift!

Oh well. It could be worse. I could be about to move, with a new roommate, and have senile parents who constantly need my help, and have a very "arrogant" older brother who likes to do things to look down on me.

OOPS!!!! I do have all of those things!!!

Well, on to the gallows my good man!!!

Although I'm sure you have all heard enough about my daughter, I just had to let you know that she will be taking her State Board Exam tomorrow. Please say a prayer/good thoughts for her as she takes this exam to get her license and become a Registered Nurse.

Wow. My daughter, the Nurse!!! Sounds good to me!!!

In my opinion, there's nothing that can cheer a person up better than a call from an old friend.

Tomorrow, Christmas Eve, is my birthday. Tonight, I got phone calls from 2 of my dearest friends. It's so nice to be remembered!! Christmastime is a very busy time for folks, and in all the rush and parties and such, very few folks remember that it's my birthday.

It gave me "warm fuzzies" to get those phone calls.

Never underestimate the power of a simple phone call!! Reach out, and call someone today that needs to hear from you!!
